About me

As long as I can remember I’ve had an idea in my head! Patterns, colours, shapes and nature all provide a constant mishmash of designs that swirl around in my thoughts until I can draw or write them down!

Working with glass gives me an exciting medium to play out my ideas. Focusing on one thing can sometimes be a problem, however, and I have to channel my energies into producing a finished project and stop myself from just trying things out!

I studied art many, many years ago to become a teacher and then completed an MA nearly 10 years ago in Multi Disciplinary Print at UWE in Bristol. I am now a full-time artist working with warm glass and firing up my kiln nearly every day.

I do tend to create in the moment using the ideas or photos I have taken. I love the exploration and discovery and the waiting to see an outcome as I open the kiln each time.
